Subject: DivInc gives the opportunity for 78,000 underestimated Gen Z to work with brands like the NFL
DivInc is an Insight’s agency based in London. They believe young people deserve to realise their full entrepreneurial potential. Their mission is to help underestimated Gen Z to utilise their genius to solve the challenges of the world’s greatest brands or to launch their own startup businesses.
Brands choose a business challenge they’re facing that they believe Gen Z can help to solve. Whether it’s the need to create a new product or service for Gen Z or to develop an entire social media campaign aimed at this generation. DivInc then find the Gen Z talent best suited to solve this business challenge and enable them to work with the brands senior leadership team for 3 days in a hackathon environment to co-create the solution.
DivInc uses a percentage of their profits to run a free startup incubator in secondary schools across the UK.
The three month online incubator guides students from ideation all the way to how to pitch. The best ideas are then selected and given a chance to pitch for funding from investors at their demo day. Founder, Jay Richards truly believes that the transferable skills learnt from launching your own startup are vital for a young person to be a success as they leave secondary school.
In September 2019, DivInc will be enable brands to work with over 78,000 students from across the UK.

About DivInc Founder, Jay Richards
DivInc Founder, Jay Richards is the 5th of 6 children from migrant parents. From getting involved in robbery while at school to now the Founder of DivInc and a Forbes 30under30 entrepreneur, he credits his Business Studies teacher at school for guiding his sense of entrepreneurship in the right direction at the right time and now aims to help young people to get a head start in their entrepreneurial journey.
DivInc helps Gen Z from underestimated backgrounds (women or those from low income or ethnic minority backgrounds) to utilise their genius to solve the challenges of the world’s greatest brands or to launch their own startup businesses.
“Young people from underestimated backgrounds are 87% less likely to found their own startup business, this wasn’t only a statistic that frustrated me, it was a statistic that hit home, I was part of that statistic. I grew up struggling against it, every business I have ever started was an uphill struggle, as it should be, but I truly believe the struggle for underestimated young people is much harder than the more privileged. DivInc is our way of tipping the balance, of helping the underestimated to solve the problems that others are missing. Some of the greatest companies to ever exist will be birthed from the minds of underestimated Gen Z through our incubator and they will change the world. Helping brands to access and impact our Gen Z is game changing, our cohorts get the amazing opportunity to work side by side with some unbelievable brands!” – Jay Richards – DivInc Founder
